1kg Coffee | Brasil Specialty Coffee – Jozoé do Carmo


Some businesses really are all in the name. Based in Mount Gambier, South East of South Australia; Marcos, his wife (Molly), and daughters (Tilley & Emanuella) really know their bean. Their coffee journey began a few years ago when Marcos came to Australia on an agricultural exchange from Espírito Santo State in Brazil. With a degree in Agronomy, and coffee in his blood growing up in Vila Valério, Espírito Santo (one of the biggest coffee growing regions), Marcos fell in love with Australian coffee culture. Together with his wife, they source speciality coffee direct from small coffee farms which use selective picking methods to ensure it’s high quality, and generally, all of the work is done by 3rd generation family farm owners, by hand. When it comes to roasting there is always something to learn, says Marcos, with a focus on achieving perfection with every roast. La, la, la let’s Samba to that!


Our coffee plan subscribers in the Home Baristas Club sipped their way through 360 coffee scores to award Brasil Specialty Coffee Roasters blend a Silver Medal for their highest score achievement of 17.3/20.
